Who uses a retractable badge reel
A retractable badge reel lets staff pull an access card to a reader and let it spring back, so it suits offices, hospitals, banks and sites where people swipe in many times a day. The reel is about 3.2 cm across, clips to a belt, pocket or lanyard, and extends to around 60 cm.

How the logo is applied
The front face carries a 28 mm round doming sticker: your logo printed in full colour and covered with a clear polyurethane dome that resists scratches and gives a glossy, raised finish. UV printing directly onto the casing is an alternative for flat designs.

How strong is the reel cord?
Standard reels use a nylon cord for single access cards, which suits most offices. For heavier loads such as keys plus cards, a steel-wire cord and metal casing are available. Tell us how staff will use them and we suggest the right type.
Can we use a different colour casing per department?
Yes. Reels come in several casing colours, and the domed logo can stay the same or change per department. Each colour and design split is confirmed with its quantity in the quote.
Will the domed logo fade in the sun?
The resin dome protects the print from scratches and everyday handling. Like most printed items, very long exposure to strong direct sun can fade colours over time, but normal indoor and car use keeps the logo clear.
