How logos are printed on satin ribbon
The logo is printed as a repeat, so it shows wherever the ribbon is cut:
- Hot foil heat transfer in gold, silver, rose gold or white, the most popular premium look. See heat transfer printing.
- Screen printing in 1 or 2 ink colours for logos or short messages such as "Eid Mubarak" or "Thank you", in Arabic and English.
The printed height is limited by the ribbon width, so a 25 mm ribbon takes a logo of about 15 to 18 mm high. Simple, wide logos read best; detailed crests may lose fine lines.
Widths, rolls and ordering
Satin ribbon comes in widths from about 10 mm, for small boxes and tags, to 38 mm, for hampers and large boxes. Grosgrain ribbon is also available if you prefer a ribbed texture. Ribbon is ordered by the roll, and the typical minimum is a small number of rolls per colour. We can also tie the ribbon onto your gift boxes if we pack the order. How is the minimum counted?
Ribbon is ordered by the roll, usually about 100 metres each. The typical minimum is around 10 rolls per design, and colours can sometimes be mixed. The exact minimum is confirmed in your quote.
Which width should we choose?
Use 10 to 15 mm for small boxes, tags and bows on chocolate boxes, 25 mm for standard gift boxes, and 38 mm for hampers and large rigid boxes. We can suggest a width if you share box sizes.
Can you print Arabic text on ribbon?
Yes. Short Arabic messages such as Eid Mubarak or Ramadan Kareem print well, often alongside the logo. We check the Arabic letter shapes in the mock-up, because thin ribbon limits text size.
