Why a magic mug gets noticed
A magic mug starts out a solid dark colour. When someone pours a hot drink, the heat-sensitive coating clears and your design appears, then it fades back as the mug cools. That small reveal makes people show it to colleagues, which is exactly what a marketing team wants from a desk gift. How the design is printed
The design is applied by full-colour sublimation printing under the colour-change coating, with a print area of about 200 x 80 mm that wraps most of the mug. Photos, gradients and bilingual text all reproduce. Strong, bright artwork shows best through the coating. We send a free digital mock-up showing the mug cold and hot before production.
Packaging and ordering
Each mug ships in a white box, or a printed box that explains the surprise for New Year corporate gifts. Hand washing keeps the effect working longest. Mugs are often ordered in cartons of 36 or 48, so the MOQ shown here follows that. The lead time is typical and confirmed in your quote. Frequently asked questions
How long does the colour-change effect last?
With hand washing, the effect lasts for regular use over a long time. Dishwashers and microwaves wear the heat-sensitive coating faster, so we recommend hand washing only and add a care note to the box if you wish.
Can the hidden design include Arabic text?
Yes. Arabic, English or bilingual text prints well under the coating, along with logos and photos. Bold fonts and strong colours give the clearest reveal. The mock-up shows the cold and hot views before we print.
Is a full-colour photo possible?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photos and gradients, so you can use a team photo, a product image or an illustration. Bright, high-contrast images look best once the dark coating clears after pouring.
