Why an eco cotton lanyard
An eco cotton lanyard replaces the usual polyester strap with a natural fibre, which helps events and companies that are cutting single-use plastic in their merchandise. The 15 mm strap is soft against the skin and has a matte, textile look in natural, undyed cream or a few dyed colours.
It is a popular choice at sustainability-themed conferences and exhibitions, ESG reporting events, green building and energy conferences, and universities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh and Muscat. HR teams also use it for staff ID where the brand has a strong environmental message, alongside other items from our recycled material gifts.
Printing on cotton
The logo is applied by screen printing in 1 or 2 colours, repeated along the strap. Cotton absorbs ink slightly, so bold logos and text of at least 4 mm height print best; very fine lines may soften at the edges.

Frequently asked questions
Is the cotton certified organic?
Organic cotton straps are available, and certification depends on the mill used for each order. If your event needs documentation for a sustainability report, tell us early and we will confirm what can be supplied with the quote.
Can the lanyard be completely plastic-free?
Mostly. The strap is cotton and the clip can be metal, but safety breakaways are usually plastic. If you want a fully plastic-free lanyard, we can remove the breakaway, which we only recommend for low-risk settings such as offices and seated conferences.
How does the print look compared with polyester?
Print on cotton looks softer and more matte than on polyester, with a natural textile feel. Colours are slightly less vivid, so we advise dark ink on natural cotton or white ink on dark straps for the clearest logo.
