Full-colour branding at a giveaway price

A laminated non-woven tote bag is made from non-woven polypropylene fabric with a thin glossy or matt film bonded to the outside. That film is what lets the bag carry a full-colour photo or pattern from edge to edge, which a plain non-woven bag cannot do. Side gussets and a flat base give it a boxy shape that stands up on a counter and holds brochures, product samples or groceries. It is wipe-clean and water-resistant, and it is far stronger than a paper bag. Branding is applied to the laminate film before the bag is sewn, so the design can wrap all panels.

Order planning

Laminated bags are produced to order, so lead times are longer than for stock items and minimums are higher. Matt lamination looks more premium; gloss makes colours brighter. Why is the minimum higher than a plain non-woven bag?

The laminate film is printed and the bags are cut and sewn to your design, so the run is set up from scratch. That is why the typical minimum is around 200 pieces. The exact minimum is confirmed in your quote.

Can the print cover the whole bag?

Yes. Full-colour print can run across the front, back and side gussets, including photos and patterns. We send a dieline template with bleed so your designer can place artwork correctly on each panel.

Is it reusable and washable?

It is reusable for many shopping trips and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. It should not be machine-washed, because heat and agitation can crack or lift the laminate film.
