Hands-free shade for outdoor crowds
A printed umbrella hat is a small folding canopy, about 50 cm across, mounted on an adjustable elastic headband. It keeps direct sun off the head and shoulders while leaving both hands free, which is exactly what marshals, volunteers, spectators and field staff need at outdoor events in the Gulf heat.
Organisers hand them out at marathons, cycling races, parades, national day celebrations such as UAE National Day, outdoor concerts and heritage festivals, and companies give them to crews working outdoors. Pilgrimage and Eid al-Adha travel groups also use them for shade. Because a crowd wearing the same colours is very visible, they photograph well for social media.
Printing the canopy
The logo is applied by screen printing on one or more panels in 1 or 2 colours, or the whole canopy can be printed in full colour for flags, patterns and multi-colour artwork. Alternating panel colours in brand or national colours are a popular, low-cost way to make the hats stand out.

Frequently asked questions
Will one size fit adults and children?
The elastic headband adjusts to fit most adults and older children. For events aimed at young children, a smaller kids’ size can be supplied on request, and we suggest confirming the audience age when you request the quote.
Can the panels alternate in two colours?
Yes. Alternating panels, such as green and white or red and white, are a popular choice for national days and sports events. Your logo is then printed on one or more panels in a contrasting colour.
Is it suitable for rain?
It sheds light rain, but it is mainly designed for sun shade. The small frame is not made for strong wind or heavy storms, so for winter rain campaigns we recommend a compact or golf umbrella instead.
