Why a moulded coaster stands out

Most coasters are round or square. A soft PVC coaster can take the shape of your logo, product, mascot or a landmark, which makes it memorable on an exhibition stand or a cafe counter. The logo is moulded into the coaster in raised colours rather than printed, so it does not scratch or fade, and the flexible material grips the table and survives drops. How the design is made

Your artwork is turned into a custom mould, and the colours are filled into the raised areas, similar to how rubber keychains and patches are made. This works best with bold shapes and spot colours rather than photos. Details are created with raised embossing and moulding, and Arabic lettering works when strokes are not too fine. We send a free digital mock-up first, and a physical sample can be made from the mould before mass production.

Ordering and lead time

Because a new mould is made for each design, minimums are higher than for printed coasters, and the cost per piece drops as quantity rises. Frequently asked questions

Can the coaster be any shape?

Almost any outline works, from a logo or product silhouette to a landmark or mascot, within about 9 cm across. Very thin points or narrow gaps may be adjusted for strength. We confirm the final shape in the mock-up before the mould is made.

How many colours can the logo have?

Several spot colours are possible, and each colour is filled into its own raised area. Gradients and photos cannot be reproduced. Very small text may be simplified so it moulds cleanly.

Why is the minimum order higher?

Each design needs its own mould, and the mould cost is spread across the quantity. That is why the minimum is higher than for printed coasters. We show the price at different quantities in the quote.
